Talking Your Life In A Nutshell

Anyone wanna share their life story? Here's mine...

Oct 4 1981 - I was born!
1987-1995 - Elementary school (how boring)
Summer 1993 - I was 11 years old. Dad told me I was going to start working with him doing what he did (tree stuff) until I found my own job.
1995-1999 - High School (still boring)
February 1999 - Met my girlfriend (soon to be wife)
November 1999 - Moved out on my own at the young age of 18. Made a lot of mistakes but learned A LOT as well.
Winter of 1999 and 2000 - went to college to learn more stuff about trees.
November of 2001 - Asked my girlfriend (Jennifer) to marry me. She said "YES!"
February of 2002 - Married Jennifer!
March 2003 - Found FTE!
May 2004 - Bought my first house.
Present - Still married, still in my house and currently have three children (well, they are our cats but we call them children). Still working for my dad because I was too lazy to find another job or go to school. I am his number one man and the number one tree climber and bucket truck operator for him. Will own the business when he wants to get out.

WoW! That was a big nutshell!

-Matt

P.S. Oh yeah, I am still onto this FTE thing. It is great, isn't it!

Not bad for a 23 year old. I just read an article(Time Magazine January 2005) how the 20 and even 30-somethings can't get moving and out of the parents house. According to what I have seen, and what the sociologists are saying many males and females(I won't call them men or women) from your generation do not want to grow up or take on responsibility. It is unusual for somebody in your generation to get moving so fast. You are doing well, don't mess it up. Life is long and the feces can hit the fan so hard you'll look like a snickers bar. Anotherwards, keep up the good work.

No way I can do it in a nutshell. There's almost 48 years of life to cover so it'd wind up being a small novel. Saying that I'm a small-town country boy, car crazy (and a Ford man) since day one, worked hard turning wrenches for everything I have, survived a brain aneurism, and finally found the right woman on the third try...just doesn't tell the whole story.

Thanks very much for the kind words. I work VERY hard even though I work for my dad. He NEEDS me and I need him. But, yes I have learned a lot of things in my 23 years on this earth...

6 months later-Got my own house (renting, still am. one of the mistakes I made was credit)

2004-Finally found a job that I want to make into a career (after 3 years at a dead end job)
Current- Am still living in first house I could call my own since my parents with my wife and took in my grandmother instead of letting everyone send her to the nursing home prematurely. Currently trying to start a family and work out credit problems (my fault the first week I turned 18) to purchase a house.
