Hey,
I have a 1990 , F150 , 5L and my air conditioning compressor is noisy when it work .Is possible to relube it ?or what is the problem. I thing about the clutch. What oil can use if I can relube and how can I do it?
Tank's for help.
D.
Don't lube the clutch.A clutch can be replaced. You must determine if it is the clutch or compressor. If not familiar with air conditioning, take it to a reputable repair shop.If a compressor goes out you'll be getting into your pocket, real deep.(Black death).Get it before it gets you.Be quick .

Tank you for help but there is nobody reputable for conditioning by my home*****pt some robber.I'm alone with my conditioning probleme.I'll look that tomorrow. How can to know if is it the clutch?
probably just needs a shot of oil added to the charge in the system make sure you use the right type of oil r-134a uses one type and r-12 / r-414b uses mineral good luck
there is a tag in engine compartment for a\c it says amount of freon and oil charge.
but if your a\c works ok and is just noisy just go to autozone and buy a can of oil charge its 6 ozs of pressurized oil and add it to the suction side of system with a\c running (suction side fitting is on the accumulator behind battery) dave
