On my 04 f-250 the boost splice into the the hose, as for the Pyrometer I drill and tap the manafold. And I did not use a pillar mount for my gauges I have boost and pyro build into one unit digital read out. My .02 and Welcome to FTE.
well on my 04 the Bosst line runs form the intake manafold to the senor to the left side of truck atop of the shock mount and as for the pyro i lifted up the left side of truck and so i can get under it and drill the hole just where the exhust manafold turns up being careful with a little gearse on the drill bit and a vacum and a little gearse on the tap and it when well. hope this helps. The map sensor hose is on the left side of the engine if u R facing it. It is located on the top back side passenger valve cover and comes straight up and bends to the left and ties in to the sensor by the rubber hood gasket and has a black wire tie and split-loom cover over the hose. I used the t-fitting supplied w/ mine but tieing into the map sensor made the turbo guage clatter and vibrate. I re installed the hose and drilled a 1/8 npt hole into the intake elbow and put a brass 90 degree fitting. If U R facing the engine, their is a flat spot on the back side of the elbow. it works perfect and shows 2lbs more boost. there are detailed pics at the dieselstop.com or dieselmanor.com and search for turbo boost guage.
