Allright, so my truck started acting goofy not running right so i started checking things out. I got to the distributor and noticed the clamp was loose and allowed the distributor to slightly move. No biggie, I'll just time it and tighten it down, no problem.
Well, slight problem. There is no timing mark on my crank pulley. I scraped it, i cleaned it, i did everything to try to find it and there just isn't one on the pulley.
So here's my question: Does the keyway line up with TDC #1? If it does i'll just whip the pulley off and make my own mark, if not I guess I'm just in for a bit of fun trying to accurately place a timing mark on a featureless surface. Joy.
I haven't figured out the timing on mine either. What I have done for now is fiddle with it until it runs good, but that is nowhere near as accurate as timing it.
