Ignition switch hole description please?

Ignition switch hole description please?
Hi guys, the PO of my 56 cut a hole in the dash to install a radio and in doing this he removed the hole that once held the ignition switch. Can some describe this to me, size/shape, is it flush with the face of the dash or recessed like the light switch hole? I am ready to fill the hole back in and want to make the ignition switch hole first. Thanks

There is a couple glimpses of the hole in a couple pix in my gallery, it has a notch for a tab on the switch to prevent rotation and I do believe it is recessed.

Here's a photo of the switch hole in my 56 with the bezel removed (the switch is still behind the hole).
