Well it's been a while since I've been able to work on my truck, tonight I've been trying to sort out a whole mess of wiring...
I need someone to look under their dash (preferably a 68 f100) at the brake light switch. I have two wires that are hanging cut under the dash. A red and a red with a black stripe... both look like they run that direction. One has 12v on it all the time, the other does not, it would be a big help to know for certain that these are the right ones...
Thanks
David
ps-For those that are going to suggest just trying it, I already have! The Turn Signals work fine, someone had previously hacked a trailer brake controller in and I just want to go back to how it should have been.
David, The simplest thing to do would be to touch the two wires together and see if the brake lights come on. Got to be a real give away.

I guess I didn't make my "PS" clear enough... I've done that, and get no results. The reason I'm asking the question is to establish that I am working with the correct part of the wiring harness and that from the factory these two wires simply were connected on either side of that switch...
