Labor rate
What are the different shop labor rates around the country?
I think its around $80.00 per hr here.

$1.50/HR if ya let my 13 year-old work on your truck, but hey, you're taking your chances.
Current Ford Dealership rate: $90.00/HR

I think there's a dealership here in S.F. that charges $125.00/hr. Ouch. That's why I try to make my own repairs.

$82 CDN at the dealership I work at in BC, Canada.
I guess that would only be about $60 USD.

From all that I have read about and know for myself, California has to be the absolute worst place in North America to be a car and/or truck enthusiast. Let's see now, the State of California boasts: the highest gasoline prices, the highest repair rates, the strictest emissions and safety standards, it's the most difficult state to register a vehicle in, and I bet we can even throw in the highest property taxes and highest insurance rates, too.
I feel for you guys and gals out there, I really do.

Well while I might sook about our petrol prices, I am glad about this one...
My dealer (a very rural dealer) charges Au$50hr - about US$35...
I still get all my repairs performed there.
