i put a picture in my gallery, so take a look at waht im talking about please!
i am to the point were if i cant fix it ( any ideas on how to fix it? ) i will take it in, but if it comes to that, how much would it cost to get done? thanks guys!

Maybe you can drill it out.

2 possible ideas.

1. LOTS of PB Blaster, let it sit overnight, then try to unscrew it with a good pair of vicegrips. Might also try tapping it with a hammer, and/or adding some heat to it to break it loose.

2. Grind the ends square to fit a wrench on it, and twist away.

Hope this helps.

They sell little C clamp things so you can suck that right back up and seal it without removing the stud. It costs about $10.00. It looks like enough stud is left to put two or three nuts on very tight so you can back/pull the stud right out.

It looks like you have enough room in there (more then I ever had with any BII) to cut the ends off and then drill the stud out with a right angle drill or dremel. I drilled from underneath (wearing eye protection) with a 1/2" air drill.

I used (because of space) 5/16s bolts with a 5/16 lock-5/16 flat-3/8 flat washer combo (both sides) to hold the exhaust assembly together after I drilled out the studs. I put anti-seize on the parts and used Grade 5 in case I wanted to break the bolts with an impact if the new bolts/nuts ever seized.

A muffler shop can just MIG weld a new stud unto the old one. Cost will probably be $25 or so depending on the shop.
