Gears

I have a donor vehicle to convert my bronco to an 8 lug. But the donor has a TTB front axle and I want to do a sas with leafs. Does anyone know if the gears out of the front TTB will fit in a solid 8 lug axle or would I be better off trying to find a solid with 4.10's already in it?

The diff housing for a FRONT solid axle should accept the front axle TTB gears as long as the solid axle is the same in all other respects. In other words, a solid front Dana 44 or Dana 50 should accept the same gears as the TTB version of the same axle. The Dana 50 was the ONLY other axle made for the TTB setup as I recall and its already 8-lug and leaf sprung. The Dana 44 is only a 1/2 ton axle and so, unless its been modified, it won't have an 8-lug setup.
