dana 44

i have a 88 f250 with a front ttb axle i think it is a 44hd the only reason i am not sure is because someone said it might be a dana 50 the axle is a heavy duty because it has 8 lug rims anyway i want to know if i do a solid axle swap can i use any of my parts like brakes from the axle i have on the truck with a dana 44 solid axle

if the rear is a full float it has a dana 50ttb front
if the rear is semi float its a 44hd front

i dont have full floaters so i have a dana 44hd will the parts from that like the brakes go onto a solid axle dana 44

nope....its all differnt. I went the same thing. One real easy way to check is to go to for example...auto zone, and check parts numbers against the year of axle your swappinng in. If anything were to fit, i'd say you might be able to reuse your rotors. Possibly your calipers, but i don't think so. Lower ball joints usually fit. Uppers are differnt to account for camber nuts.
