Piston Ring Wash
Has any of you guys ever filled the crankcade of a 300 or 240 with ATF and run the motor for a few minutes to clean stuck rings and valves.? Apparently it makes the rings snap back into their "good compression" position. Don't know what type of ATF though (Mercon/Dexcron, TypeF?)

i talked to a mechanic and he said to use any ATF and just pour one litre in and then just top it up with your regular oil you use and the drive it for a couple hundred miles or so, or even till the next regular oil change too. ATF is a detregent and would work well, i think.
