You know when you go to McDonald's, any fast food joint or just anywhere you can get the little pepper packages to go? Why is there about 10 little pepper spices in each package and in the salt there is enough to give you a small heart attack?
I mean, you would have to have 10 pepper packages to equal one salt package. I have even opened a pepper package and it was empty. Weird....

For one I think pepper is more expensive than salt...I think. So they try to cut costs by giving you as little as possible. Also, pepper doesn't flow as easily as salt so it probably is a bit more difficult to fill those tiny packets with a non-fluid material that is sensitive to static electricity. Just my thoughts. I'm probably all wrong.
most people dont use as much pepper on their foods as they do salt. pepper goes further than salt.
when i go to mcD's and get 2 bacon egg and cheese bicuits for breakfast, i usually use half the salt on each one, and half the pepper on each one. so it works for me. but thats all i use pepper on, the egg items at mcD's
