What's Your Worst Ticket?

What is the worst ticket, speeding or otherwise you have gotten? My worst is a 52 in a thirty. Cost me $170.

mine was 2 weeks ago. I was clocked doing 79 in a 65 in VA. I was on a return trip home to NC. 5$ for every mile over 65 plus a 56$ court cost!

When I was 18 and stationed in South Jersey in the Coast Gaurd. Headed to a town outside Philly. On I-95, this guy just would not get out of my way. Well 18 with a 1978 Golden Annv. Trans Am with a 400 in it......... 98 MPH! I pulled over and waited for the cop to catch up ( ya just he's coming for you) Then he folded the ticket in my registration, I did'nt know, all he said was have a nice day and try to slow it down, I get to my girlfriends job and go to get my license and found a ticket for $210 folded up with it. Then there is the whole bench warrant thing for the same. That's another story though.

About a year ago I was drivin into town to see a movie. I was in the ol ford. hehe... well, I was at the intersection of the police station. Um, let's say I accidentally put the acclerator to the floor, roasted about 30 feet around the corner. The ironic thing was that the guy that pulled me over wasn't even a local cop. It was a Highway Patrolman. Well, that's -10 points for me...
If you were there, you'd've at least been proud of my tire-spinning. I got over the thrill of spinning wheels though.

Careless and Imprudent!

When I was about 20 I picked up a misdemeanor Exhibition of Speed...for chirping the tires going into 2nd gear in my dad's '73 Datsun P.U. I beat it in court even though the cop lied through his teeth. Would have been expensive otherwise. The one I earned but didn't get was 110 on my Suzuki GS850. I pulled right over for the CHP officer, even though I had no plate, and he let me off with a warning since I didn't run. Should have been a mandatory ride to the Co. jail and an impound of the bike, but he was way cool. More than made up for the first butthead I mentioned. Most expensive one was my last ticket, back in '89. Got an 80 in a 55 in Marin county, in my new Mustang GT convertible. As I recall, that one set me back about 120 bucks. Did I deserve it? You bet! I'll take my lumps if I've earned 'em! -TD

How about this one? Ten years ago, I was driving from Georgia to New York. Left on a Friday morning. Got a ticket for 78 in a 65 on I95 in South Carolina. Monday morning on the way back to Georgia got a ticket for 80 in a 65 on I95 in South Carolina in the same town by the same trooper! He was very amused but still gave me the ticket. By the way, they were $85 and $90.

Mine isn't anything big. 75 mph in a 65. Cost me $20.

Since mine isn't anything big, I'll bring up my buddy. He got an exhibition ticket, and the cop pulled him out of class during school one day to give the ticket to him. He took off from a stop sign overly fast in first gear, then proceeded to (unknowningly) outrun the cop to the next town 11 miles over. That one cost him a few points and some money if I remember right.

My worst ticket was for doing 95mph over the speed limit on Hwy 101 between Santa Rosa and Petaluma, Ca. in 1969. I passed a CHP at about 160 mph in a '69 Z/28. It cost me a months pay (military) and two weekends in driver's ed. with my commanding officer. I was racing a Dodge Super Bee at the time and the CHP didn't even stop the other guy. I was lucky though, as he didn't take me to jail. Now I get nervous if I get up to 80mph. Yeah, the "good ole days"!

81 in a 65, in a "65mph zone" or something, double the fine, 5 years ago and I forget, 4 points on the license (worst part) and around 300-400 bucks.
I was even driving with my mom!

That was the first and last ticket for when I knew I was speeding and didnt care. Got one for 45 in a 35 a few years later, but I didn't know the speed limit on that one.

Took both like a man, cowering in the corner.

i got a 55 in a 35, was clocked at 57, according to the cop, was $150 but i took a PJC. Had a buddy that had just got a new GTP and he was out seeing what it could do, got it up to around 100 when he saw the blue lights, the cop was off duty and was just coming home, stopped the guy and told him that he was going in excess of 75mph and needs to back it down. The limit, it was 45.

Worst one I had was when I was about 17, got one for 28 in a 20. Judge gave me 30 day which was later knocked down to 6 months probation.

Luckiest was when I got stopped for 142 in a 55, the officer was young and wanted to know all about the mustang and what I had done to it. After talking for about 45 minutes he gave me a warning and said to slow down. Then he took off smoking the cop cars tires. LOL

90mph in a 55zone with my '02 F250 V10. went to court, $240 fine, and if i got another ticket within a year id get ten days in jail. been almost 3 years without a ticket.

a time i got away was in my lifted 2000 dodge ram with 35"s i was doing 110 on a long bridge, well, turns out the HP officer was behind me, but he only wrote it for 70 in a 55, i went to court and they dropped it down some.

Back in the late 70's/early 80's:

*91 in a 55. Reduced to 70.
*reckless driving for racing (but I won, oh well). Case dismissed in the end.

The one I'm glad I didn't get caught doing was racing on the interstate. 55 zone and I was up to 135 (160mph speedo).

a good story I like to tell people is a lady I know got a warning for doing 104 in a 40, and get this she (was at the time) my Sunday school teacher!
