Transmision PLEASE HELP

I currently own a 1998 Eddie Bauer Expedition with 5.4 and it is in the 80k miles, and yesterday all of a sudden, under normal driving conditions transmision started to fail, like if it was slipping, but just on forward, I have to floor it so it will start to move, and if I put in 2nd gear it would do the same thing even if I make it to run 40-50mph and let go the gas and accelerate it againg it would try to advance until it is around 3500 revs, thats only on forward, reverse is just fine, like if the oil pressure on the tranny was prety low, but it would do the same on reverse, oil looks and smell just fine, there is no smoke like when they start to slip, I was wondering if it could be a sensor I checked te cables going to it and they are plugged, I try checking what I guess it could be. any suggestions. I really appreciate your help, since here in Mexico it aint trusty to take it to the dealer or just any shop, they will probably come back with a bad tranny, and they can they will say its the engine also, hehe.
