Not to hijack this thread or anything, but since we're discussing out of control kids and mamby pamby school administrators I thought this was relevant. Has anyone heard of what's going on here in C'bus?

A developmentally disabled girl was sexually assaulted at a local high school back in March. Since then the principal was fired and three vice-principals were given 10 day suspensions. Then they were allowed to be placed in other district buildings w/o kids present. The police were not called by school officials but by the girl's father, 2 hours after the incident. Now the principal is fighting the termination claiming the girl showed no signs of assault...Uh, hello, are you completely oblivious? And on top of that, one of the boys who videotaped the incident claims he shouldn't be expelled b/c he wasn't involved. Here's your sign....

I should mention that I work for the district in question, and the general consensus from us underlings is fire everyone on the board and start over with QUALIFIED people who will actually be held accountable for their actions. I'm really surprised that the good people of this town haven't already demanded this; given the fact that they recently approved a new operating levy under the guise of fiscal responsibility, then two months later found out they were $20 mil. in the hole in their self insurance fund.

Society in general makes me sick, everyone is a frickin victim. Sorry about the rant, had to get this off my chest.......

ADD and ADHD are curently automatically a schools first fall back they want the kids drugged. I have had this problem in 3 different school districts with my son. He has a dicipline problem with anyone but me. He knows I will hold him accountable and he knows he can get away with it in school. I have been forced to take him to counsling. Being in the millitary It was forced the schools complained to my command and got them involved. He goes into counsling the counslers talk to the school talk to him do tests. The report always comes out that he is normal. The schools lack of abillity to dicipline him is the key to this problem. They can not control him so he must need drugs so they can. What do you do with a student that is bored in class knows you can't or won't do anything to him. You let it get totally out of hand call the parents. even though you were told by the parrents to call at the first sign of trouble. The school is always smarter than the parents are and wait.

The last counsler he went to told the school that within the first 10 min of being in the class for the first time he knows how the teacher will react and what to do to push her/his buttons.

If this had happened when we grew up it would have only lasted for one time he would have had his butt beat and there would have been no more prolbems.
