use a power brake valve. its the same and all the aftermarket places have them.
I'm using a 1/2 ton '84 valve in my 79 1/2 ton and it was a direct bolt in. even the wiring connector was the same

The proportioning valve for manual brakes is different than the one for power brakes, and is also extremely hard to find. If you use the one for the power brakes, the back brakes will have more braking than normal. Usually this is not too big a deal as long as you expect it. I converted the power brakes to manual on my 80 F150 2wd and used the power prop valve and it worked just fine. The other alternative is to order from Summit or Jegs an adjustable prop valve and adapt it in the line to the rear and lose the factory valve. This is what I am going to do eventually.
