considering the stock bushing is only $15 each..

You will need a 1 1/8 socket and open end wrench to get the big bolt off of the bottom of the front axle that goes up into the spring..sway bar bolts get disconnected too..then the bolt on the rear of the radius arm.

It's actually not that hard to do yourself..just takes about an hour to do..well it took me an hour to do since i install suspension lifts and such all the time..Good Luck!

i dont know about you guys, but i would pay more than that to have someone else to replace mine. i decided to replace mine and ordered them from james duff. the duff kit is only the radius arm bushing. it does not include the spacer. it also does not include the heat shield. to try to shorten it up, i installed the bushings, didn't fit, thanks to fte i found out about the spacer, had to get them from local ford dealer, had to remove and replace with spacer.also i had to hook the rear of my bii to my pickup and the front to a tree with a come-along to pull front axle far enough to get radius rods out of the hole. But GOOD LUCK ANYWAY!!!!

I've always drilled out the rivets on the radius arm bracket (the bracket that the radius arm bushings sit in) and removed the bracket. The first time around, it's a pain, but once the rivets are out, it's fairly straightforward.

i also removed the rivets securing the crossmember. i replaced the rivets with stong grade 8 bolts. next time you need to replace the bushings it will be very simple. it should have been bolted in from the factory.

Only an hour each side? Did you drill the rivets out? If so, what size drill bit did you use and how did you even know what size to use?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Richard

When I put on my lift-kit and had to remove the rivets it took me about ~5 minutes per rivet. I used an chisel air tool to get the heads off and then used a center punch and punched them out with a 15 lb hammer. Then some of the holes needed to be enlarged so I used a Dremel tool.. worked like a charm.
