I have a 2wd crewcab and my freind has a Hemi 2wd 4 door ram. Stock vs. his with exhaust his was a little faster esp. off the line. Now with the SCMT IN MINE and a hypertech(I think) in his I blow his doors off. He still launches me, But I catch him pretty quick once my one tire fryer finally hooks up. His truck runs 15.40's. I would est mine at 15.0. I also ran a hopped up Matrix running 14.80's and lost, but was really close. I ran out of street, but I was pulling.

I didn't race the hemi yet because I didn't get the SCMT yet, but I raced my buddies 04 4 dr Chevy Z71 with the 5.3 and 3.42 gears and we was side by side the whole way. I thought my truck would be quicker than that. Also I just installed MBRP cat back with muffler delete.

Was that "roll-on" or from a dead stop?

Proper spool up and lauching are very critical.

No it was from a dead stop. No spool up just putting the pedal to the floor. He got ahead of me right at the start by about 10 feet, but once my turbo spooled up I got back even and stayed like that till we hit 90mph.

Try launching in 4x4 with 20lbs of boost @ 2000 rpms. That should remove all doubt.

Yes or about 1500 but yes and hold on.
Your guy won't jump 10 lengths on you like before.
Race him again and post back!

He didn't jump 10 truck lengths, just 10 feet, about 1/2 a truck length, but I will race him again trying to get my boost up before we go.

Bring it up to 2100/2300 (brake pedal to the floor) launch in 4x4 high....before you get out of first gear switch off 4high you will win....I guarantee it

Practice first..... Two, three, four times

Try this before you race him and tell me what you think
