Lightbulb Old Yamaha probs

I have an old yamaha 74 ish i got it from a friend of my dad and it had a blown head gasket and they were made of copper. Well a friend of mine had some aircraft aluminum layin around so we made another gasket and i put it in. It worked fine for bout an hour of actually ridin, then on acceleration it blew, i was wonderin if it was the aluminum that didnt hold up cause it was aluminum or because i didnt wear it in enough bout 15 min idle and another 30 of easy ridin nothin over 4.5 grand and red line is 7. I have anoter gasket of the aluminum and i was wonderin if i didnt let it break in enough or if it blew becasue the aluminum just cant hold up
Thanx
Don

P.S. This isnt pop can aluminum its High Quality AirCraft Aluminum i was told its about 8 to 10 bucks a square ft.

Honestly, it's too high grade. You need dead soft copper, or a very soft aluminum. The copper is a better choice, as it will conduct the heat away better. If the gasket size is small enough, you may be able to get your hands on a piece of copper roof flashing, about 1/16" thick, and anneal it to soften it for the application. Do not use any sort of sealant on it, as that will interfere with the heat conduction ability of the metal.

Ford_Six is right. Use copper. I have made a lot of gaskets out of roof flashing for bikes and cars. Go to a roofing supply, or even some arts and crafts stores have it. Be careful of the torque and the sequence when you put the head on.
