What yr is your truck ? I used the VIN decoder from a manual I have for my truck that I got from Helm . http://www.helminc.com . They have lots of Ford manuals , more than Haynes or Chiltons & more $$ , but I think they are worth the cost esp if you want detail instead of vague descriptions .

My truck is a 1984 Ford F-150 XLT,
What is the name of the manual that you've got?
There are lost of them at that Helm online. And how much did they cost if you don't mind telling me?
Thanks,
Nick

Im not even sure that Helm will still have the manuals for your truck in print ? They come in different sections . There is a diagnostic book , electrical wiring diagrams , the basic truck manuals etc . You can purchase whatever you need if they have them in stock . I seem to recall each price varied on what I purchased . I got an import one not long ago & I seem to recall it being in the $50 to $60 area . They should have all the info on their web site or a number to call for more info .

Paul,
Thanks for all the information that you've gave me over the last couple of days. I appreciate it. And i will call them to find out what they have.
BTW, Do you know of any sites other than Autodigest.com or Carmax.com/free, that offer online Vin decoders that give specific details?
Thanks
Nick
