Starter lock-up
Any of you guys ever have a starter lock-up and choke down your engine? On my 86 F-150 4x4 w/302 auto....it happened yesterday. The truck started making a whinning noise and just choked down. I thought it was the tranny but my brother-in-law said it was the starter. The positve cable to the solenoid turned black and you could dang near fry an egg on the starter.

Yep...a scary feeling going down a highway and the engine starts choking down.
Cell phones are great in this situation!
