CD Player not working
I have a Sony CDX-1200 CD Player head unit in my truck. A few weeks ago, I had to slam on the brakes because someone decided that their Neon would win in a crash against my 3 ton truck (which I prolly would've just run over him). Anyway, I avoided the accident, but the next thing I notice is that my radio isn't working. So I get to where I'm going, and don't think much of it. When I get back out to the truck and start it up, I look down at the radio and it turns on, flashes E-99 across the screen, and then shuts down. As I said, this was several weeks ago, and it hasn't worked since. Can anyone help me out on this or at least point me in the right direction. I don't drive the truck much, but I like to have a radio when I do.......

Sony should be able to advise you the meaning of the code E-99? Go to Sony.com click on service and support and you can do live chat, e-mail or call them on the telephone at 1.800.222.7669. Likely that they can walk you through to a solution.

For anyone else out the with similar problems. E-99 means you have to press the reset button behind the faceplate. Also if you don't already have one, Sony puts their Owners Manuals on the internet in PDF format. This is where I found this information.
