amp problems
ok i was workin on puttin a new box for my subs in my truck and i plugged everything back up and my fuse on my amp was blown. well my friend said to try a little smaller fuse cuz i didnt have one the same size. i put the fuse in amd hooked my batt. up. then i went to hook the ground up and when i did my amp started smokin. if there is anyway or somethin i can do to repair this please help.

What size and type of fuse blew? What size and type did you replace it with? Did you go with a larger Amperage rating replacement fuse?(Something that should never be done.) If it smoked, then it's probably too late. Disconnect all wiring and replace the correct size and type fuse. Then try to just power the amp on without running any speakers from it. If it powers up with no load then try to connect one of the speakers to see if it still sends out power to the speakers. If it does not even power up then you will need to get yer amp repaired. Contact the manufacturer to find out what their flat rate repair fee is. I had to send my Profile amp years ago and got it fixed and returned in a couple weeks for $30 something bucks.

Check your wiring again while you're checking other stuff. You shouldn't ever play with amperages. Couple years ago I put in a smaller amperage fuse into my fuse box and I was driving down the road and then I noticed that plastic was melting onto my leg. I thought it would be ok since it was a smaller amperage.. I found out otherwise.
