voltage drop for instuments/gauges
I read recently for the need to have only 5V to the gauges. There is a small rectangular block fastened to the back of the instument panel on my '65 that I thought might be the voltage reducer. But when I power it up, I get an intermittant reading of about 5V. It acts like a flasher unit but there are two canister type flasher units present that take care of the emergency flashers and the smaller of the two that services the turn signals. Can anyone tell me what the rectangular unit is? Thanks, Steve
