There ok, they look like a variation of a wheel that was on the 90's fords. Personally I would get something that will set it apart from all the other fords on the road. Since you have a 5 lug there are a ton of options out there.
" the only people over there are wheelingnew stuff "
Them wheels sure look like they belong over there! (wherever there is !)
I personally like the older style TRUCK lookin' wheels argh! argh!
You asked!
Those wheels look way to new school for the classic looking truck you have. They look alot like the wheels that came on my 74 crew cab when I bought it. I can't wait to get rid of them, but for right know they stay as too many other things to fix and do first. There is a 76 around here with the centerline looking wheels with the large holes with 35's they look tight and really go with the rig. That's my 2 cents.
I just bought some new wheels and tires for my 74 F-250 4x4 and I would SERIOUSLY look at HELO wheels. I will have some pictures up in a few weeks but man these wheels are awesome. I think they look better than the traditional circle style but they don't look anywhere neer what some of those gawdy styles look like. You can check them out on the web I can't remember my specific styles name but you will most likely see it. You can buy them from discount tire as well.
Thanks for the replies - I was having a hard time picturing them, but I think I agree that they look a little to new age for the classic look of the 73-79's. I will keep looking.
Just my opinion, but I like the 92-96 forged alloys, found on the Ford trucks and Broncos of that era. They are 15x7.5", forged, and clearcoated. I have a set on my 78 Bronco.
They are similiar to the stock alloys that Ford offered on the older trucks, but are lighter, stronger, and wider. Good looking without being too "bling-bling".....
Loneranger has a good point. I have a set of those wheels like he's talking about on a 73 SWB F100. They look pretty good on it. I'm also one of those types of guys that likes to use strictly Ford parts when ever I can, so I'm a little biased.
