Exclamation Lincoln Intech Conversion

hey i was just doin some research on my 5.4l and i saw that lincoln had a v8 in the navigator called "intech" which had 300 horses and 360ft.lb. is it possible to get lincoln "intech" parts from a crashed navi and put them on the ford triton engine to get these numbers or be the same as the intech?

The 4v Intech motor from the 99-04 Navigator is a completely different engine design than the 5.4L 2v Triton. The 05+ Nav uses the same 5.4L 3v Triton that is in the 05+ Expy. I don't think there are any parts from the Intech that you could put on your 5.4L.

The block configrations are the same. The heads, intake, exhaust, and timing chain cover are different (along with most of the accessory attachment points, accessories, and PCM). Without getting into too much detail, it is not worth swapping the parts out. You would be better served by improving existing components on your engine.

If you are interested in a complete engine swap, check out the Expedition Owners Group (EOG.com) there is a guy Brandon who has done this already.

Overall, as hkiefus said, it is not worth the trouble. Look at his sig--he knows what hes talking about.
