rear axel blocks

I just obtained a pair of 2" rear axel blocks. I did not know about the fact that there were straight and tapered rear blocks. I have straight blocks on the truck now. My guess is that the tapered blocks will change the angle of the rear axel. Is this correct? Has anyone made the opposite mistake and would like to swap straight 2" blocks for tapered 2" blocks? Thanks.

the tapered block is for the shorter wheel bases (reg cab, ext cab short bed), and the straight is for the longer wheel bases (crew cab, etc)

you are lowering an f350 to 250 height?

Yes, I was considering lowering an F350 to the height of the F250 to make it easier to park in my garage, especially when I reach the point of changing the stock tires. I guess that I will have to start looking in wrecking yards for straight 2" block.
