Hey all. Well, last night some punks tried to get into my baby. Looks like they attempted to get in through the driver side vent window but opted to smash out the passenger side vent window. Now I have two slightly bent vent window frames (one w/o glass). I'm not sure how the driver side vent window got bent w/o breaking glass but it definately doesn't close all the way. Soooo, does anyone know the cheapest route I can take to fix the situation. Right now I can only think of a few options:
- buy replacement frames from the bronco graveyard ($110 a piece!!!) and get local glass shop to install new glass
- try bending the frames back and replacing the glass by myself
-go to a junkyard and search for a suitable match (anyone know which models/years of ford trucks match?).
I need to fix this soon. I live in Washington so my truck will be seeing it's fair share of rain in the very near future and I hate driving with some stupid plastic on my truck. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That just makes me mad! Same thing happened to me.
I found the part on www.usedpartsonline.com. You have to put in the part your looking for and then you will get email responses from around the nation.
The quotes for my 94' drivers side vent window assembly were all over the board. I finally purchased the part from a yard in MO. The part came in UPS for a total of $37.00.
I cant complain.
By the way, now I have little whistle. Guess I did'nt get the darn thing seated properly.
Good Luck.
I would try the junk yard. They should not want too much for them. That is some crap, huh? About six months ago I walked outside and noticed that my drivers side door was not closed tight. I went over and took a look and sure enough my wing was broke. The tint still held it together somewhat. They took everything in there, from my CD player, amps, subs, radar and over 250 CD's. They even tried to steal my whole truck, they got a screw driver into the cloumn and messed it all up. I was ready to shoot someone. I now have an alarm and a column lock for it. I was lucky and already had an extra vent window. Good luck to ya!
