Trailer Lighting problem

Touchofgrey, yes, I did think about that possibility. I had just bought the trailer last week and I knew there was problem in the truck wiring as the person (my son. who owned the truck several years ago before me) had told me the wire harness was ripped out for some reason I cannot remember. I put the truck in the shop last week to straigten out the wiring problem and put a new plug on the truck. Even though the job they did looks solid, you would have thought they would have found the blown fuses after completing the wiring. Since I did not want to have to take the truck back to the shop, I decided to do it myself with the help of this forum. Once I replaced the fuses, I tested the truck and trailer the rest of the day, and no problem appeared. As a further test, I plan on running the rig for a short trip next weekend. My son did say that there was no problem with trailer lighting before the incident that ripped the wiring out, so I have a high degree of confidence the problem is fixed.
