Foot-feed cable
Just got my fresh 390 bolted into my 66 F100 2wd. Now I'm not sure what to do for throttle-linkage! My 66 had the 300-6 cyl.with the cable. The 390 is set-up for linkage. I have all the linkage from a 73 F250 4wd, but I'm not too sure it will fit in the 66. I'm sure many of you have already solved this problem, and I'd really like to pick your brain! My 390 has a Holley 650. Thanks a lot guys! Brett

Hi Brett, I know the cable for the 6 is longer but you should be able to make it work. Ford went to rod linkages but went back to cable.
I think the ball fitting screws into the linkage. You should be able to transfer it to your new carb. IMHO
