All Ford tags that have limited slip carriers Always read 3L.55 ( or what ever ratio you have)Call your local Ford part dept for more help- my dealership gets calls about every day about things like this- If we at FORD can't answer(free) questions like these from time to time- its real hard to make you one of our customers!!!

The second/bottom line of the tag gives you the ratio and make of the axle. It is a 3.50:1 ratio, not equipped with factory L/S (no "L", like "3L50..."), Ford 9" axle. To my knowledge, all truck 9" axles after 1970 are 31 spline, not sure about the vans. I do remeber something about the van axle being unequal length or one side is a couple inches longer than the other. IF you're swapping it into a Bronco it can be a headache! If you search for "Ford 9" axle", many of the parts vendors have decoders/ charts, and more info on each year and model of axle.
