4wd Not Switching - Help

I recently replaced the gem module because of a leaky windshield. Before I replaced it, the electronics were going wacky. 4wd dash light would come on and I would hear the relay trying to switch over while I was doing 70 mph up US-1. I got the gem module replaced then found out the 4wd wouldn't switch over just recently. I checked the fuses under the hood and under the dash. They ohmed out okay. I took the dashboard switch apart and it looks like the indicator light there is blown. Could that possibly prevent the switch from working since it looks like it is part of the circuit board? Help please. I don't want to get stuck on the beach. That would really be embarrasing!!

Sounds like you are knowledgeable. Can you see the printed circuitry? If the light is inline, then you would either need to replace it, or solder a small jumper on the board to complete the circuit. Or you could sell your truck and get a 70s Ford with a manual shifter
seriously, hope this may help. I know sometimes they use stuff in series to run circuitry, which is stupid, but it happens.
