203 help!!

203 help!!

heres the problem i have hi and low range but no lock in either i can see the linkage move and evry thing is tightand i NEED it bad saterday to show up some bowties is there any quik fiother than installing a 205) like mabe pullin off the rear cone and weldin somthing im not shure never had one of these apart i dont care if i have to put it in low lock and lincolin lock it there and if it blows up next week so be it a 205 is soon to be on its way just not before saterday thanks ya"ll

have someone shift it while your underneath and make sure the linkage is engaging completely, other than that i dont know what to tell you....its funny, my 203 wont shift from lo to hi with the shifter but it will go from lock to unlock, i have to use a crowbar to shift to low and back.....

the shift rails have detents in them that small ball bearings ride in to give you that "engaged" feeling. it sounds like the shift rail detents aren't lined up with the small ball bearings. there should be a screw on the top of the case to loosen and tighten them down. tighten the 2 screws down if they aren't already
