Some months ago, I was taking a nap. When I 'woke', I couldn't move any part of my body. I could barely open my eyes. I felt so heavy. It was the freakiest thing I'd ever experienced. Finally, I forced myself to move, and back to normal I went.
This has happened a couple more times. I did a search on google and came up with Sleep Paralysis. I'm glad to know it's not uncommon and doesn't harm me. Anyway, it is one weird experience!
This has happened to me several times and for sure it is wierd! Its like your brain is awake but your body says no way...Last time I tried to say something to myself like hey wake up but it did not work LOL.
I thought I was having some kind of psychic experience. But seriously, that has happened to me a handful of times too. It is somewhat comforting to know I'm not looney!
When I am sitting on the couch at night after a real hard day, I can't hardly move. I will be needing to get up and do something, but I can't make myself move. Usually after a minute or so trying to make myself move, I finally can. I don't know if this is the same thing or not, but it sure sounds like it.
I've only had it happen once when I was like 12, and it scared the living hell out of me. I thought I was friggin' dead!! My brain was going a Mach 1 speed trying to figure out WTH was going on, but my body was dead. I even had the feeling of something pressing on my chest (even though I was face down on the bed), as described in the web page below. Really freaky and I've always wondered if it would happen again.
i've had it a few times, back during football in hs, i would come home at night after another day of "hell week," the name speaks for itself. I would wake up right before my dad came in to get me(after my alarm has been going off for some time) and he has to move me to get me going. It is sooooo weird. You can hear everything around you, but you can't react to any of it, it's insane. You just lay there and you feel like your muscles are gone and your mouth and eyes glued shut.
haha I was just thinking it sounded like fun too. espesially now that I know what it is and wouldn't lie there thinking I was dead. anybody know what causes it?
I know that for some things, like a solid week of football practice, or everytime I started a new job in HS, I would dream about it that night. Not too weird. But one night, after about a week as a package loader at UPS, I woke up about 3 am. I could see my room, I could obviously read the clock, and was on my back. The weird thing though was that I could see UPS, the trailer, the package shute, and the boxes in my hands. I laid in bed on my back, eyes wide open, seeing two distinctive things at once, and loaded boxes onto the shute at UPS while being in bed. It was reall weird. This was like 6 years ago at least, and I remeber it so vividly.
I bet im the only one, but sometime i used to wake up in the night and the furniture in my room would be in different places and same with the windows and the door...kinda weird
hahaah, i remember doing that once fordfan302, then i completely woke up and i was standing on the bed walking into the wall, lol, just trying to use the bathroom.
