audio controls

my '05 has "Vol" Up/Dn, "Mode" (AM, FM1,FM2,CD), & "Next"
on the right side of the steering wheel.

my 2000 doesn't, but in wish it did. i posted a while back asking if anyone had ever transferred an excursion wheel to a superduty. no replies.
if the wiring is there, it would be easy.

The Superdutys did not have the vol/climate controls on the wheel until 2005. The Ex's did (started in 2002 I think). I would love to get that for my 03. Had a rental Crown Vic with the controls on the wheel, and find it MUCH more comfortable to use then going to the dash for everything. Much safer too.

I don't know. I would think so. Next time I go to the dealer for an oil change I will ask the parts department to look it up in thier computer and see if it will fit. Probably will not be cheap though. You figure $300 + for the wheel plus the $ for them to put it on.
$300 today will buy me a lot of disel fuel

What I have found on my '05 Ex is that if it did not leave the factory with a given option...the wiring isn;t there either. I added factory foglights, and underhood lamp for example..and had to do it all myself. I'd also bet that the radio would need to be one that works with remote controls as well.
