Mach Audio

My 98 E.B. has mach system with indash tape deck and 6 disk changer. I want to swap the tape for a factory in dash single cd. I see a lot of cd players on ebay that say they will fit 98 and up fords. Does it matter that i have a mach system or are all the radios the same?

Altho it may not help with a '98, I have swapped factory units between an '01 F150 (single disk CD), an '02 F250 (indash 6 CD) and an '02 Grand Marquis (tape player, in-trunk CD changer). All of the units worked in each of the vehicles. They are also a snap to pull out and put back in, using the correct removal tool.
