steering linkages
so my real question is.... Will the parts all interchange from 73-79, or are there different part numbers for the steering linkage? I plan on getting new dropped I-Beams so king pins and spindle bushings will be covered then. I just need to know about the drag link, and tie rods and ends basically.
thanks for any help..... _Ken
thanks again

If you get dropped I-beams you will need an adjustable draglink. or your pitman arm will be clocked to far to the passenger side. and there are only adjustments for placement on the steering box at 90 degree intervals. also the inner and outer tierod assembly will have to be assembled too long.
you'll end up with a truck that will barely steer left and over steer right.
all the stock parts are the same 73-79 f100, F150, f250 under 6800lbs (or with single piston brakes)

the Chassis Tech dropped I-beams I am getting also have the tie rod relocators (at extra charge). I spoke with their tech, and he said it takes care of that problem, so I should be golden in that department. anyone on here have any first hand experience with the Chassis Tech I-beams? I would love to see some pics of the results. or could you refer me to another company (I wasn't to pleased with the DJM parts, just personal prefference, though they would give better ground clearance.
there aren't just a whole lot of people doing this kind of drop, most are going to a mustang II IFS setup, which is cool, but I want a product designed for a 4800# FULL SIZE TRUCK, not a 3000# oversized pinto (no offense mustang guys, I like the '70's 'stang more than most.)
