Fuel Injectors
I am looking to buy all new injectors for my 88 302. What are some things I need to look for? I should stay with the 19lbs. ones right? There are a couple of sets I have been looking at through summit. There are some called Venom that are 16.1 Ohms and 19lbs. There are also Accels that are 14.4 Ohms and 19lbs. Which one would be best for my application? What are the factory ones Ohms? Is lower or higher better? Thanks!

Have you modified the engine in any manner, FIPK, cam, or other when doing the H.O? I'd stick with the 19 lbs at this time if you haven't gone inside the mill. Are you having problems with your factory injectors or looking for more oomph? The 302 likes rpms and is a very good motor, the factory injectors should give you great performance.

Well, about a month ago or so I took my injectors off and inspected them. Four of them are on their last leg. The plastic around the bottom is split or coming off. I just want to replace them all. I like the Venom ones but I am just not sure if the Ohm's are right.

As you are in need of injectors due to deterioration, that changes things. I searched several resources and will talk to Brad in the morning with the question. He's worked on Ford Trucks for 30 years. Fefarms may already know your answer, though, you might PM him.

As long as the resistance falls between 13.5 and 18 ohms you will be fine. The OEM injectors fall into this range. Unless, as was mentioned you have done major mods to the engine, stay with the 19lb. units.
