Alright, so I've gotten myself in trouble with this Registry thing. I've had several trucks come to me from Canada and now one from Brazil. I cannot decipher any of these VINs!
Anyway, does anyone have a source on a Brazillian truck? The VIN is
F10K7SBX00000. What is "S" and the "BX"? Or is it "SB" and "X"? "Shipped to Brazil"?
Also, if any of you Canadians out there could help me with the trucks from up there, I'd appreciate it!
did'nt brazil have there own assembly line?, when i enquired about a few of mine through ford australia, there reply was that the imfo i needed was'nt available because the trucks had either come from brazil or canada, so no technical data is available.
when u finish the tin bashing course, u could always re enroll in a south american language course

Our pal Lobo filled us in on the Brazilian trucks a year or so back. Their year models didn't necessarily follow the US versions. In other words, '57-'58's might look just like the '56 we are familiar with. (Not sure of the years)
I believe that George discovered a "made in Brazil" on his air deflectors. This brought up the question of whether Detroit bought parts from Brazilians. I don't remember the outcome. It is interesting, however.
Himmelburg, On my nos front fenders(circa 1970's by the old part tag that was found on them), inside the headlight buckets it says "made in brazil" Ford probably used the newer sheet-metal for collision repair and what not. Pretty neat. Also, if you search ebay brazil, you can find some really neat trucks. Lots of crazy shapped panels. -4speed
