I'm doing a few small inexpensive things to 'pimp my ride'. I just tossed my bland floor mats and got some 2 tone ones to match the colors of my truck and a steering wheel cover, looking at some matching seat covers that match the outside color of my truck.
Anyway i've found a few nice looking gear shift ***** but my truck is automatic. I do however have the 4x4 shift. So i was wondering, does anyone know if the **** on the 4x4 shifter is the same as the **** for a gear shift? Are these standard threading?
I took a look at my shifter ****, it looks like it's screwed on but it's on good and tight (I assume it's got loctite or something industrial strength on it).
Not sure if it's the same, but on my 2000 f150 5 spd. the shift **** just pulls out. Most of the aftermarket ***** have a couple of different inserts and a set screw.
