Shifter **** removal
This is the thing..
I am want to know how to remove the shifter **** off the shifter lever for a 88 F-150 automatic column shift.
I bought a new **** for my 4X4 lever & thought it would look good if I could put a identicle **** on the lever off the column.

I've already replaced my 4X4 **** on the floor lever. It kept coming off when I grabed it to pull it back into 4X4.
Did the dealer take the **** off you lever coming off the column?
I want my ***** to match.

i have a manual 5 speed in the 76 f250 i have the **** screws off, but in my 1990 it just pulls off i could not fiqure it out. the man at ford told me that it is supposed to pull straight up and off the shifter. i would just call up a delership or go by a local garage and they can probally show you how your **** comes off good luck

I'm gonna have to try that, I do have a heat gun. You telling me that **** on the column shifter is held on by adhesive?
