Thorman, I think you misunderstood the intentions of my post. I wasn't reffering to the quality of your posts (no comment ), but quantity. You have an hour after posting a message to EDIT it. You can add something else, change something, or delete. After your message posts to the board you will see the word "edit" in a blue box on the lower right corner of your posted message. It will be right beside the "quote" function in the message you are currently reading (mine). This does show up on your screen, correct?
I notice you aren't an "FTE Supporter" (nor am I), so I'll assume you're using this site free of charge. When you make multiple unnecessary posts you waste valuable bandwidth (on FTE's dime). If it hasn't been over an hour, and if you aren't replying to a new post (sent from someone else since your last post) there is no need for a new separate message. If you have any questions or if I'm unclear, please feel free to ask.
thorman: We certainly do not want to discourage posting on the board, but if you change your mind, or want to add another thought you had, by all means go back to your response, and if it was within the hour you can add or change the post. Think of this board as a place to share your input to be stored for others in the future to use, instead of a chat room style forum.
Ive got a 1995 f-150 I just bought. I have the same problem in everything you mention. Its your anti theft for sure. My truck was hit on the drivers side where the door opens. The previous owner told me to only use my key. Not to use the remote. But of course I didnt listen. Now I have the same problems as you do but Twice now I got mine started by putting my key in the door ...going towards locking it.... then turning my key hard and quickly.... I can hear an extra load click and it would free up the injectors . Starts as soon as you hit the key. But of course I took the lock out and yes there is a sensor on it. Looks like a solar sensor. But Its more tech then that. And it has to go back just the way it came off. There are two small pins, both diffrent in shape and size. The smaller pin must go in a lower hole .... and the other pin collers the top of the back of lock. then the sensor can be snapped into the clip lock of the lock. Very diffcult to see what your doing. Making this hard to do. The sensor turns with the lock when you turn the key, but only the eye of the sensor. Just try turning your key quick hard with door closed or with it open doesnt matter. You may have to do it sevral times. And a little lubircant in the lock wouldnt hurt, but not on the sensor by ANY means. And see if it will start. And with my truck. If you arm your anti theft and your theft light stays on and you use your key before your light goes out and the key turns off your anti theft light. Doesnt mean you have totally disarmed your alarm ..... thus meaning it wont let you start your engine. I was just lucky to find it. Good luck I hope alot of people get to read this.... Let me know how you come out, and of course try both doors.....
