oil pan replacement

Hi Fellow ford owners.

Just wondering how many of you have had to change out your oil pans. I had to on my 01 f-350 PS.

What happened to your oil pan? Stripped drain hole?
(this is the 97-04 f150 forum, the f250+ forums are a little further down)

Would you believe it rusted out. It isn't uncommon, and the ford dealers will tell you that. At least the honest one will tell you that. The sad part was, I was 600 miles away from home.

i just bought my 99 psd w/119000m and had the dealership do it before i took it. it was rusted out. more like a wet sponge than an oil pan! what did you pay? they didn't want to di it but there was no way anyone would buy the truck like that. luckily i got them to pay for it because the local mechanics wanted 1300 and didn't even want to touch it.
