97' Expedition subwoofer replacement.

My subwoofer is blown. Does anyone have a direct replacement source?

I used a 8" MTX T-4500 Sub. Sounds decent with the factory amp. Just have to redrill a few screw holes but the sub fits w/o issues

I just took the old one to a stereo shop and asked for a comparable replacement. They gave me a Crunch. I dont know the model #. And in case you didn't know, a couple of guys here on the forum were nice enough to tell me that besides the 8 bolts around the front of the speaker, there is also one in the back threaded into the center of the magnet. Its a real pain in the you know what to get out. My right arm looked like I got attacked by a rabid cat!

Memphis Audio makes an 8 inch subwoofer that fits except all you have to do is drill a hole (4 total) between each hole already there to mount the speaker. Cut the factory connectors off, strip the wire, twist it and attach it to the speaker. I did this and mine works great and I was still able to use the factory amp.
