Cord Manager Mod ?
I have one of those "stupid" orange wheel type extension cord managers (made by BAYCO) and I was looking at it and thought "how can I mount this thing and make it more usefull" Otherwise it just sits on the floor and is no better than wrapping my extension cord around a 2x4. I challeng you guys to come up with some way to modify one to actually roll up the cable sort of like a garden hose reel. I will try and post pics of my concept.

Mount 2 2x4s on a wall with enough distance to mount the cord thing between them. Drill a hole in both 2x4s and slid a piece of metal thru with the cord thing on it. there you go if that made sense. Better yet, just got buy a small garden hose roller and use that.

Thanks for the replies, I know I can buy the nice, slick retractable cord reels, but I was just trying to make something out of nothing. My idea involves nothing more complicated than a metal bracket/enclosure connected to the center(black part that you hold) and maybe a swivel type bolt or lag screw system to be mounted to my bench or a wall.
