Cab Air Filter

92 F150 XLT; Where is it, and how do you access it?

Mine pumps so must dust back into the air, ya can't run the AC.

Neither my 88 (gone) or 95 have such a beast. You may have to clean out ducts, air intake under wipers, or have a leak into cowl area. Try washing out cowl and ensuring the area drains clear thru botom drains in rear of fenders. Good luck.

My 94 does not have one.The mechanic at the dealer told me only the later models have these such as late 99 and on up.

Thanks, I guess the PO rode around with the windows down all the time. That would splain why the enterior has cig. burns all over.

With carpet in it, I aint thrilled about poking a water hose in there, but I'm sure it would help.

I was referring to the grille area in front of the windshield, although it could be filled with dust not visible thru the grille and cause some overflow into the vent system. I think you can pop out the vent fittings in the dash and hand clean some of the vent/ac lines into the cab and that might help some.
