Can someone tell me what type/yard/model of air cleaner I have. It's in my 49' f2 gallery. Thanks.
It's an Oil Bath alright, but it's a later version & possibly off a Big Job, as it doesn't have the proper Twist Clamp that would hold it to the carb for your year model.
Here is the same Air Cleaner that you have on your truck, this pic was tanen of the 50 Merc, that I used to own.
I have had several of the 49-52 F-Series Pickups and all had the same cleaner, that is the ones fron Canada.
I think that maybe that is what you may have, but it is sure correct for your year of Truck, at least here in Canada.
I have one just like it on my shelf as a spare in case I buy anothe 48-52 F-Series.
So in short it is the proper one.

Ross, on the one that the breather is on pictured above is the carb on the right. Both of these carbs are correct for the truck just different applications, the air cleaner on my 51 was the carb on the left.
All of the trucks I have had, about 15 at last count, V8 and flatsix, has the type of airhorn like the one on the right, with the beveled flange. I think the car carbs had the airhorn like the one on the left. I bought a rebuilt carb like the one on the left at an auction a while back for a few bucks figuring I could sell it and buy a correct one for my truck. A few minutes later a guy in the crowd asked if I would trade for a carb he had bought earlier, one like the one on the right, just what I was looking for. He said he needed on for his car and he mistakenly bid on the wrong type, he needed the one I bought. that's all I know.
So, if this is a canadian air cleaner how does it get held down? Holley 94's and other carbs from that era have no provision for a threaded rod to hold the cover on. The choke plate is in the way.

It would be held down by a circular clamp at the bottom of the (opening) oil bath air cleaner. The air cleaner would sit on top the carb and the circular clamp would clamp both together by twisting a screw that was attached to the clamp. The threaded rod to hold the oil bath cleaner was attached to the bottom pan.
The oil bath air cleaner pictured above is for the carb on the right.
My 51 Panel has the carb like the one on the right and my 52 Panel has the carb like the one on the left. I just checked my 52 F3 and it has the carb like the one on the left also. Lastly, I looked through the photos of 48-52 trucks that I have saved on my computer. At seems that it's 50/50 on the carbs. Some had carbs like on the left and some like on the right. It's very possible that they were switched during the vehicle's lifetime.

I've been told that the straight-neck'd carbs (like on the left) are replacement carbs, and the angled ones were stock, but I've heard of apparent exceptions too.

The air cleaner pictured in John Fin's gallery appears to be missing the lower outer shroud. Plus, look at the second photo. How could you use the clamp type mounting? Where would one attach the clamp?
The question was how does this canadian air cleaner attach to the carburetor? Looks like it it setup for a threaded rod down the center like a conventional aircleaner BUT holley 94's dont have this area for a threaded rod. The choke plate is in the way. I have seen carbs with a wire that holds the threaded rod above the airhorn. The above pictures of the aircleaner are of US model.
1948/53 Mercury's with a 239 V8 uses: 8RT-9510-E .. 2V Carburetor
1948/53 Ford's with a 239 V8 uses: 8RT-9510-F .. 2V Carburetor
1948/53 Mercury's use: 7RT-9600-B .. Oil Bath Air Cleaner There's no mention in the Mercury Truck Parts Catalog [yes, I have it also] of a clamp, Y fitting, carb stud or wing nut. This leads me to believe that whatever was used, was serviced only with the air cleaner.
1948/56 Ford's use: 7RT-9600-C .. Oil Bath Air Cleaner There is a listing for a clamp for this cleaner.
