Oil Pan Problem..
I have a '92 F-150 w/ 5.0 302 V-8. The oil pan gasket blew on my truck (sad I know). I was hopeing that someone out there would know a way to fix it without pulling the V-8 out. Thanks!

Oil Pan Problem..
You can replace the gasket by raising the engine . You ll have to reach in & undo the oil pump & slide the pan out after the pump is removed . There will be a lot of little things to either remove or unbolt to raise the engine high enough , but it can be done with the engine still in the vehicle .

Oil Pan Problem..
Just did my 92 302 auto 4x4 pan gaket about 2 months ago. Had to drop trans crossmember, take exhaust off at the manifolds, take intake plenum off top of eng.,jack up eng. until top of trans hits bottom of cab(as high as it will go). Now you can lower the pan but can't remove it until you remove the pickup tube for the oilpump. You can get couple different gasket sets. I went with the one piece rubber one, just like the factory one. Dont forget to take loose fan shroud too. Hope I remembered everything. Good luck!
