1966 ford dump vin code
i have, i think a 1966 ford f800 dump truck. i need to decipher the vin code.
so i know exact engine,trans,ect?

Here's what I've found.
F81FUE50969
F81= F-800 Gas engine
F= 391 4V
U= Louisville truck plant
E50969 = 1969 Model year, not 1966 as noted
146= wheel base
J= paint, Red
F810= F-800 2wd
4B81= 4B = Black aal vinyl interior
81= Standard cab
Trans code Y= 6 speed Allison automatic
axle cose EKE= EK= Eaton 18121 , 22M rear axle, 7.17 rear ratio
E= 9M front axle
30,000 = GVW
199= Horsepower @ 3000 RPM
DSO 161839= 16= Phila. Pa. Sales district.
1839 order code for truck.
Hope this helps. I double checked the serial number and all points to 1969.
