Just a couple to air out the cab. There is a huge amount of air transfer when driving and you open a window and the rear slider. Plus, it is funny to see the people behind you point at your "ghost" window opening and closing.
Mine was replaced at about 2500 miles, as it had the same problems everyone else has had. Very slow to open and needed help to close. Works great now and very happy. To answer Tim's question, maybe once a week.
Mine worked great new, but seems to be slow now and get really slow about half way open. I have noticed a definate decline. I have probably used mine less than 50 times total, and it seems to be really slow now.
I use mine at least 4 times a day, unless it is really cold out. It operates much better in the warm/hot weather then it does in the cold. I thought about complaining in the winter when it was at its worst, but apathy set in. It tends to slow down a bit, and you can hear it working hard, but I never had it come to a stop.
I think that I have the best power slider out there, and voice activated even. "Hey Anthony, open the back window buddy." Haven't had a problem with it yet.
Sorry guys I couldn't refuse. I would have gotten the power slider also had I actually ordered mine. Hope everyone gets the bugs worked out.
I really didn't have problems with my wifes f-150 only that it rattled , I would think it's the same window but got ahold of the service manager and he said -either the bottom track or the top track - can't remember , had a replacement up date from Ford and they changed it no problem , took forever to get parts but might be something you guys might want to check out.
